Three time Latin Grammy Nominee, Maria Barracuda and Jorge “La Chiquis” Amaro merge their experience and talent that make up the successful band Jotdog. In 2009, their self-titled debut. First single, “Hasta Contar a Mil”, reached the Top 10 in the Mexican charts and became the best selling song on iTunes Mexico. 2012's Jotdog II: Turista de Amor's first single, “Lluvia de Estrellas”, reached Top 5 in Mexico’s and was selected as the song of the week on iTunes Latino. Jotdog’s music has been classified by the critics as “sinister pop” for their acerbic and ironic touch. Jotdog has won several awards including Premios Oye! Telehit Awards 2010 as Best New Artist. In 2010 they were nominated for a Latin Grammy as Best New Artist and Best Vocal Album and MTV Music Video Awards LA, in 2011 for Premios Lo Nuestro for Best Video for their single “Hasta Contar a Mil,” and in 2012 were nominated for the Latin Grammy Best Pop/Rock Album. Jotdog perfomed at SXSW, LAMC and headlined Mun2’s summer concert series in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. They also performed their hit single Corazón de Metal during the XIII Latin Grammy Pre Telecast.
