The Bergamot

Winner of 2017 Project: Aloft Star

The Bergamot is an American Indie-Folk- Rock band originally from South Bend, Indiana currently based out of Brooklyn, New York. Founding members and songwriters of The Bergamot are husband and wife Nathaniel Hoff and Jillian Speece. The Bergamot's uplifting songs are powered by unbreakable harmonies with seamless songwriting adeptness that combines a story of both the joys and heartaches of life. Atwood Magazine says, "The band has crafted a sound the indie world has been waiting for: something electronically hip, yet nearly reminiscent of the folk world in the way vocals are rawly constructed."

In 2016, they toured 200 dates to all 50 states on The Unity Collective, and ICON Magazine wrote that The Bergamot is, "Following in the footsteps as such duos as Simon & Garfunkel and Hall and Oates.' This fall (2017) The Bergamot's latest single, "PDR,"; was released. Shortly after, Speece and Hoff quickly started turning the indie-world on its head and won Aloft Hotels’ 2017 Project: Aloft Star competition, launching them into the global spotlight.
